Lead Based One Pack Stabilise

Lead based stabilizers are first it’s kind of stabiliser which are used to stabilise PVC from decades these are added to PVC to allow its processing and to improve its resistance especially in processing as well as outdoor applications, weathering and heat ageing and have an important influence on the physical properties of PVC finished articles.

Factors such as process technology involved, technical requirements of PVC end product, regulatory requirements and cost, influence the choice of the stabilizer used.

RBS Polyadditves have varieties of OPS as per application , Physical form is Flakes and Powder

Commodity Stabiliser

These are individual stabilisers, generically various Soaps of Lead, Calcium, Zinc and other Metals. Each of these plays important role in various properties. Most of them are used to provide heat stability as well as weathering resistant to PVC and some are used with combination with other to achieve desired results.

Metalic Stearate

Metallic stearate are chemically long chain fatty acid soap of metals like Calcium, Zinc, Barium, Aluminium and More. These are generally used as lubricants for PVC, in other application like food, pharmaceuticals they are widely used as anti cacking, anti tacking agent. Metallic stearates are recommended as a general lubricating additive in plastics processing; internal lubricating properties ease extrusion and mould flow of many plastics compounds. They are also used as a mould release agent, preventing preforms from delaminating, reducing adhesion of compounds to inside surfaces of moulds and increasing mould life. Metallic stearates give excellent resistance to colour degradation at elevated temperatures; particularly suitable as internal lubricants and mould release agents where higher than usual processing temperatures are encountered. Metallic stearates are recommended for maximum clarity in pigmented PVC and polystyrene compounds; also minimizes “plate-out” tendencies in PVC extrusion compounds. Metallic stearates Increase water repellence of concrete, cement, stucco washes, magnetite and fibreboard; imparts water resistance to asbestos, paper stocks, boxboard, cardboard, textiles and explosives used in mining.

RBS Polyadditves offers a wide range of metallic stearates derived from a variety of natural, renewable feed stocks which result in a broad array of end performance characteristics. Discrete control of chemical characteristics such as metal content, carbon chain distribution and free fatty acid, combined with precise control of particle size allow for designed solutions for many applications.

Ca/Zn Stabiliser

These materials are generally based on metal carboxylates and will sometimes incorporate other elements to boost performance such as aluminium or magnesium. Because the heat stability in some applications may require some enhancement when using calcium/zinc, organic co-stabilisers will also often be added to this type of formulation.

due of the characteristics of calcium/zinc stabilised materials they are widely used in many flexible and rigid PVC applications. This type of stabilising system can give products which have a high degree of clarity, good mechanical and electrical properties, excellent organoleptic properties and good outdoor weatherability. As a result, calcium/zinc stabilisers have been incorporated and established in a wide range of applications . These include toys, healthcare products, such as blood bags, semi-rigid and flexible foil for food packaging, bottles for potable water, as well as for potable water pipe.

Non-Toxic Ca Zn Stabilizer are mainly used for PVC rigid and flexible. It is produced by Calcium ,Zinc Organic stabilizer with the amount of chelating agent, lubricants and other internal and external.

Liquid Mix Metals Stabiliser

Liquid mix metals stabiliser are mainly formulated for flexible PVC application, in some application like injection moulded parts, rigid films they can be used. These are comparing of metals carboxylates with antioxidant and chelators.Liquid mixed metal stabilizer systems are based on Ba, Zn, Ca, Mg or K carboxylates. In general liquid mixed metals like Ba-Zn, Ca-Zn and Mg-Zn require the addition of co-stabilisers, antioxidants and organo-phosphites to provide optimum performance. The costabilisers are usually imparted to the liquid mixed metal stabilizer system. To adjust the viscosity different solvents are used including hydrocarbon solvents and plasticisers.

Tin Stabiliser

Tin stabilisers for PVC compounds are characterised by a central tin atom, surrounded by alkyl and acidic groups. Mixtures of mono and dialkyl tin salts are used and commercial tin heat stabilisers typically vary the ratio, depending on the performance and property requirements of the final product.

Methyl Tin Stabilizers are the new industry standard for providing heat stability in PVC applications. Its efficient heat stabilizing property is used for processing of PVC plastics’ in applications such as extruding, molding, coating, injection and calendaring. Methyl Tin Stabilizers is considered as the most effective stabilizer because of its high performance and environment-friendly feature.  Methyl Tin Stabilizers are approved by FDA as well as BGA including other regulatory agencies, this means that they can be used in applications that have direct food contact.

Octyl Tin Stabilizers are widely used as non-toxic,tin based, thermal stabilizer for production of rigid PVC packaging materials. Octyl Tin Stabilizers provides both heat and light stability, giving the product the ability to maintain the initial colour.
