RBS 9001 (Calcium Stearate)
RBS 9001 – Calcium stearate is a carboxylate of calcium, classified as a calcium soap. It is a component of some lubricants, surfactants, as well as many foodstuffs. It is a white waxy powder. It is also the main component of soap scum, a white solid that forms when soap is mixed with hard water. Unlike soaps containing sodium and potassium, calcium stearate is insoluble in water and does not lather well.
Our Solutions & Benefits
- Calcium stearate is used as a flow agent and surface conditioner.
- In plastics, it can act as an acid scavenger, lubricant and a release agent, pigment wetting agent.
- In rigid PVC, it can accelerate fusion, improve flow, and reduce die swell.
- It is a waterproofing agent for fabrics.
- Applications in the personal care and pharmaceutical industry include tablet mold release, anti-tack agent, and gelling agent.
Multifunctional Additive
RBS 9001 – Calcium Stearate is a versatile calcium soap widely used in PVC processing, lubricants, and other industrial applications. Its white, waxy powder form provides excellent lubrication, flow enhancement, and dispersion properties, making it ideal for improving processing efficiency and product consistency.
Reliable Processing Aid
RBS 9001 Calcium Stearate acts as an effective processing aid and stabilizer in plastics, coatings, and other applications. Being insoluble in water, it does not lather, ensuring predictable behavior during manufacturing. Its ability to reduce friction and improve material flow makes it a trusted additive for industrial processes.
Industrial-Grade Calcium Soap
RBS 9001 is a high-quality calcium stearate suitable for use in lubricants, surfactants, food applications, and PVC formulations. Its waxy, water-insoluble nature provides excellent long-term stability, smooth processing, and consistency, offering manufacturers a reliable additive for a wide range of applications.
